I guess there are a lot of people experiencing this problem. I have been charged at least 15 times for the same item as well... This cleared my PayPal balance completely and started taking money from my bank account. However, I can't see that there was any money taken direct from my bank account as the bank statements are late sometimes.   I rang PayPal and have been asured that they are aware of this and working on this already.
