Well - the next stage. I have just contacted Paypal who explained that this happens when there has been a problem with the account. After checking back Paypal confirmed that there has never been a problem and that my account has always been run in a good manner. There explanation was that they did not know why this 72 hour transfer had been placed on the account. They also said that they could not guarantee that it would not keep happening. I am a business seller and have been for years. Transfers usually take 'up to 2 hours'. Last week it changed to 'up to 24 hours'. This week it has changed to 'up to 72 hours'. So now my postage time of 'within 3days' cannot be met as I will not post until the funds have cleared. With paypal playing silly games, what is to stop them putting a halt on the transfer after 2days and me having already posted it? This is a big con by paypal when you consider they will be holding £millions at any one time. ... View more

Might be me getting paranoid but had customer email this morning saying PayPal couldn't process payment. Then, when PayPal got back on line, there are 3 payments off this customer. She was probably just trying to pay but, as she has her 'father' collecting the item later today and, given the recent scam where an agent is sent for collection, I am just a bit concerned and don't want to refund the overpayment until I have spoken to someone.  ... I have now got my recent transactions listed but cannot call customer services. The 08707 307 191 is coming up as 'not recognsed'. Any ideas on alternative numbers. I am not sure if I am being scammed as we speak and need to contact paypal urgently  ... View more
