If you are a business with a large turnover DON'T repeat DON'T use Paypal as the customer service is appalling. Lost emails. Countless phone calles to a different person every time you call so you have to explain everything over and over again. Also their T&C's are virtually unworkable and we have challenged them under the "Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977" as in some cases they are basiaclly witholding your money with any reason. We had an account limitation added to us on the 29th May 2017 and we still not have had a respponse. All we were told the account was closed, then opened, then closed, then opened pending appeal. We wonder what will happen to Paypal as regards Brexit as I suspect they will be on dodgy ground regarding witheld payments. We are having to result to legal action to get what money we have back in the account. The court fees are more than the money but it's a matter of principal. If you are selling trinkets at a car boot sale or the odd coffee in a shop you'll be fine. But for a business that turns over £5K a week on a bar don't bother, use a proper commercial bank based in the UK. Paypal are great at changing the goalposts from their offices in Richmond, to Luxembourg than to Dublin. Also please be aware that if your account becomes limited to add insult to injury PP are more than happy to keep accpepting payments from customers and do input banking. But you try and get at your money that is nigh on impossible. It would seem that PP really want their cake and eat it. Also as a marter of interest we had a debit card compromised and I called PP to have this removed from my account profile which they refused to do. In the end the end I had to use the Data Protection Act to get them to remove the card. You can withdrawl your permission at any time verbally or in writing and they have a legal obligation to adhere to your request. I would urge anyone using PP to seriously think about it.
