You need to be very careful ordering items from Facebook Ads. Especially "sponsored" listings. Many are scams.   They don't care, Facebook won't stop them, I have reported many but they stay up, all Facebook cares about is they get paid for the ad. ... View more

Re: Bitcoin Question

The simple answer: It always costs more to buy than it does to sell.   The longer version: The value of a currency, commodity or stock is always higher to buy than to sell. The price given by Google (and other trackers) is usually an average estimate or a recently traded price. Google makes use of the Coinbase API, which gives an estimated price in US dollar, excluding fees. If for example the google says the value is $1000 it will probably cost you $1020 to buy and you will likely only receive $980 to sell.   Just an example, but for the sake of this discussion assume the price of BTC never changes ... And then if all you ever do is buy and sell you would eventually end up with $0.   It is helpful to remember these things, you will not get rich quick but I will tell you this... My original $65 I bought in 2017 is now worth $450 Therefore it is possible your $500 will be worth $3,000-$4,000 in 2-3 years? Of course we don't know, if I could predict the future I would be extremely rich, and I'm not hardly rich at all.     ... View more

If somehow an unknown credit card got added to your account then your account has been compromised. You should at once change your password to something alphanumeric with upper and lower case and numbers and symbols at least 20 characters long. For example:  vh9ar%o^V&rJLOoikjc <- MAKE YOUR OWN *DO NOT USE THAT!* Then, delete the fake credit card.   That's for starters. ... View more

Re: Seller cannot issue refund until claim is clos...

That depends where the case is open, I am assuming ebay but it could be amazon, facebook, paypal, bonanza, etsy, who knows where else...   That being said I am pretty sure that regardless of venue, if YOU close the case you will lose your refund. It is sad a seller would be giving you this advice, however there is never a shortage of scum sellers who will give a buyer bad advice simply so they don't have to issue the refund.   So if the case is open on Paypal: What's Next? You have 20 days from the date you opened the dispute to resolve it with your seller. If your seller isn't responding or you can't come to a resolution, you can escalate the dispute to a claim. If you escalate your dispute, PayPal will review it and decide the outcome. If we need additional information from you, or need you to take action, we will email you. You can check the status of your dispute at any time in the Resolution Center.   But... If this case is open on ebay, then after the last day the case will time out after which you can escalate by asking ebay to step in. There is a deadline to all of this, so you will want to check in to your case daily from your end. If you need to speak to someone, in this case you should probably contact the venue's customer support.   Chances are the seller will issue the refund "voluntarily" at the last minute before it times out.     ...
