I just realized that this forum addresses UK issues. I'm in the US. I had discovered, although it's been about a year, that paying UK merchants via PayPal (from my computer) was not possible unless I temporarily disabled two-factor security. I haven't tested this recently. Of course it's extremely unfortunate if the mobile app continues to be crippled for users in the UK. As I probably stated in my original post no app on a mobile device connected to a financial institution account should be accessible without two factor security enabled. ... View more

@kernowlass   Hi, Have just refunded £1.98 (in full) via the refund form on the details page of the original receipt and 20p more than I actually received after initial charges was taken out of my account.   I note you mentioned that full credit for paypal charges should be given if done correctly yet it did not happen with me.   Can this still be correct? (I know 20p is nothing but I would like to know for future transactions)   Thanks ... View more

I have posted a review for the app in the Google Play Store and just got a reply to contact them at    mobile-apps AT paypal.com   so they can try to sort the problem. I've already mailed them my phone details and android version/baseband/kernel/build number.   I'd recommend everyone to do the same, the more we are complaining the more pressed they'll be to fix it 🙂   I'll update if I find anything else.    G ...
