PayPal Community

I would like to know the answer to why we need to be verified.  I have been buying and selling on Ebay for 8 years and have never had any problems.   People bid on  my auctions and see my 100% feedback and are very secure with bidding on  my items.   Never once have I had a bidder ask me to be verified.  Now I can not use my own money to buy on ebay because I have hit some arbitrary limit.  What is going on?  Can you please give me a good reason why my credit card that ebay accepts is not good enough for Paypal.   I would like a logical reason other than the general statement that Paypal is trying to make everything more secure for everyone.   All i ever see is this statement and then the directions for verifying your account.  Why is this?  ... amourdujour4-  You would not necessarily have to use the PayPal Extra Card.  Our system will default to that card over the other funding sources, but that can be turned off.  Of course, like most credit cards, if you don't use it for long enough, they might decide to close it and you'd be right back where you are now.  But that would of course be up to you 🙂   Hope that answers your question.   Andy  ...
