PayPal do not give out existing passwords. They allow a new password to be created - after security checks: I forgot my password. How can I recover it? If you have forgotten your PayPal password, you will need to follow these steps to create a new one: Visit the PayPal website at www.paypal.co.uk Click ‘Problem with login’ under the ‘Log In’ button. Choose 'I've forgotten my password' and enter the email address registered to the account. Enter the security code by typing the letters and numbers shown then click ’Continue’. Confirm account ownership by selecting and entering the information you want to verify and click ’Continue’. Create a new password, which must be at least eight characters long and should not contain any spaces If you are unable to recover your password, please contact PayPal Customer Service. If somebody gained access to your PayPal account with your original password, then they must have obtained it a way other than by asking PayPal. Have you: Signed-in to PayPal in a public place (that could have been observed)? Signed-in using a PC that may have been infected with a key logger or other malware? Clicked a link in an email (supposably from PayPal) and signed-in? Been using a weak password that could have been easily guessed? Been using the same password for numerous other websites? Left a PC unattended (where others could access it) while signed-in to PayPal?
