I have a 100 percent approval with eBay, an above average customer ratingin all categories and have been selling on eBay since 1997. PayPal decided it a good idea to withold a payment from a customer because I haven't sold something that expensive in a long time. For this I have to wait 21 days. WTF???????? So I asked why and was told the reason above. When I emailed customer service they sent me back a list of reasons, none of which applied to me. I have a good credit rating to boot. PayPal told me when I called that I need enough money in my account if customer wasn't satisfied. That's crap. There are other ways to handle besides alienating me. Oh, but apparantly they are fine with taking their fee out o fthe balance in which I can not use. Ridiculous. This infuriates me to the point that I will use eBay to sell small, non valuable items under $50. There are other options to sell rare collectables--you're not the only game in town anymore. Customer service is something lost from this once unique community.
