I have spoken to customer services, who have assured me that the payment is pay after delivery and will not be taken immediately. What appears to have happened is that the scheduled payment date was not displayed after pay after delivery under the sellers name. This caused the payment to appear in completed rather than pending in my account overview.   I am also in the UK, but was directed here from my paypal account when I clicked help. ... View more

Hi, yes I have used PAD many times and find it very useful. My concern in this instance is that paypal will be debiting my bank account immediately rather than in two weeks time. I would feel a lot happier if the payment was correctly showing in pending rather than completed.  ... View more

I made a purchase online this morning, which throughout the entire process from checkout to paypal receipt confirmed would be pay after delivery. However when I checked my account overview I noticed it was immediately showing in the completed section rather than pending, even though it still says pay after delivery under the sellers name. Another purchase I made at the same time from a different seller correctly shows in pending.   I have spoken to customer services who advised that the payment is pay after delivery, but I have never noticed this happen before and it is giving me cause for concern, as "glitches" in the system do occur, and I really do not wish this payment to be taken immediately.   ... I made a purchase on line this morning which is scheduled for pay after delivery, but when I looked at my account overview it was showing up in the completed section, rather than scheduled, even though it still said pay after delivery underneath. I have just received an email Dear (followed my paypal email address) which said    Your paypal account has been limited because we have noticed significant changes in your account activity etc etc. The email included a link "resolve your account" which I did not click but logged in separately to my account.    The email came Paypal Service, and an outlook.com address (I am not permitted to post it in full)   I have forwarded it to spoof@paypal.com, but thought I should post here in case anyone else has received it. ... Hi, you just need to log into your account, then go to profile (the grey wheel next to the log out button) Under payment settings (bottom right of screen) there is a link to pay after delivery. If it says pay after delivery is my preferred way to pay, there is another link to turn this off.   If you have already made any payments using pay after delivery, go to activity (top of page after you log in) click on the pending payment and about halfway down the page there should be a link which says pay now. You can use this to pay immediately.     ... View more

Just a further post to say I called customer services again, and it seems all that is required is to open your account, go to activity, click on the payment and about halfway down the page there is a link which says pay now.   Apparently however it is still a known problem which paypal are aware of, but it can be resolved if you actually prefer to pay the money rather than wait.   Thanks to customer services for your assistance. ... Thank you for your reply, but I possibly didn't really make the situation clear. The items in question were purchased on 7 and 8 November respectively, and both were eligible for pay after delivery. The payments were then scheduled to be taken by paypal on November 20, and 22, but they have not, as yet, been taken. A further 6 days later, I have still not even received the standard notification email, advising that these payments are due to be deducted.   I have made several purchases since then. Those eligible for immediate payment have gone through OK, and those eligible for pay after delivery have been scheduled. The next deferred payment is due to be taken on 3 December.   I have used pay after delivery regularly since it was introduced, and certainly wish to continue using it, as i find it very useful,  but this has never occured before. If, as I was advised it is simply a glitch in the system, it seems to be taking a while to resolve and does not seem to be affecting many people.       ... View more

I have 2 pending payments in my account for pay after delivery items which were scheduled to be taken on 20 and 22 November, but which are still showing as pending. I spoke to a UK rep on the phone who advised it was a glitch in the system and I would in due course receive the standard email saying that the payments were going to be taken, but after several more days still nothing.   I then decided to check this board to see if anyone else had reported the same issue, but couldn't immediately see anything.   Can anyone advise if this is a general issue?   Many thanks.     ...
