I paid for an item recently using the ‘pay after delivery’ option. I got the item 2 weeks after I ordered it, and requested a refund from the seller (groupon) as it was faulty; they refunded almost immediately. However, in the day it took, the pay after delivery payment came out of my bank account but the refund processed as just cancelling the transaction, therefore I have no funds in my account. Does anyone have any idea what will happen next?! Will PayPal refund me the money that has left my bank account? Otherwise, I’m out of pocket and PayPal have just gained! ... View more

I recently bought a phone on ebay through auction. As I was out when the auction ended and wanted to pay asap I decided to pay for it via my mobile. I had a reciept email and then was sent an email saying that paypal had put a limit on my account and that they thought my account had been accessed by someone other than myself.  I managed to sort all of that out, but paypal still have a temporary hold on the payment to the seller. This is pretty annoying as understandably they won't send out the phone until it has cleared and I'm concerned they might give me a negative rating on ebay!    Does anyone know how long it might be until the payment clears?   Thanks ...
