It seems like no one can answer my question or doesn’t want to. It cannot be found in any PayPal documentation as I have read it all. It’s a simple question: On the monthly PayPal statement how does one differentiate between a payment received. Is Friends and family versus a payment received for Goff’s or services. Thanks but I’m sure you know, that I know that. My question pertains to the activity summary itself. On that statement how do you differentiate a payment from 1) Friends and Family vs 2) a payment made for goods. Ive read those until I'm blind. My question remains: Does a payment into my account that shows as a "General Payment" and shows NO paypal fees count as taxable..???? ... View more

I don't think there is a Magic Number. I have over 1200 Feedbacks, all postive, and do not sell big tickets items. I just had 5 to 6 ebay auctions completed and the sellers used paypal to pay for them as per Ebay Standards. Now have over 300 dollars tied up on hold . I even had to make  Instant transfers from my Bank Account to pay for the postage to ship the items tyhats were paid for....!!!???  Doesn't make any sense to me but when I asked them about it, they told me it was to ensure people got their stuff.  OK.  ...
