I purchased an item that became a debit on my PayPal account, but never showed up in my bank account linked to my PayPal account (resulting in a persistent negative account balance). This has never happened before, and coincidentally I have just recovered from a couple of fraud purchases on Ebay. Any idea why I have a persistent negative balance in PayPal, which was never passed onto my bank account? I’m concerned because I made another recent purchase, and wondering if PayPal, or the bank, separated the link between the two. PayPal continues to submit debits to my bank account for the fraud purchases that I did not participate in, even after PayPal completed the investigation, credited my accounts, and agreed it was fraud charges, yet they repeated the attempt to debit my account for the fraud changes. I requested my bank to deny these to specific fraud debits, and now wonder if that is preventing me from linking new PayPal charges to what has been for many years, an unchanged bank account. My bank claims that nothing outside of the two identified fraud changes are impacted by this denial of payments. Any idea what’s happening (both in the continued debits, and the lack of legitimate debits to my bank to pay the PayPal account?
