An AliExpress order was taking longer than expected, so I cancelled the AliExpress order with an AliExpress agent in chat. The only mistake I made was not taking a screenshot of the agreement of cancellation. Many hours later, the company decided to ship out the order and send me a notification of shipment. I spoke with another AliExpress agent via chat and they acknowledged that the agent who agreed to the cancellation didn't report it. They said they would gladly issue a refund once I receive the item. I did in fact take a screenshot of the chat as evidence. The AliExpress agent clearly stated "if this item has arrived on 08-02-2024, you can apply for a return/refund and we will process it after." Upon receiving the item, I wasn't able to apply for a refund through AliExpress. The refund button just brings up a blank page, so I filed a dispute with PayPal with my screenshot as evidence. PayPal sided with the seller. Now, I want to return the item. I can't do that either on AliExpress since it brings up a blank page. For some reason, I can't even file for a return using PayPal. That's bad business in my opinion.
