Yesterday I basically got scammed by Paypal, I was paying 54.4 euro for something, using my paypal account and my usual euro account (Revolut), from an european webshop (eurozone). I ended up paying 57 something because all of a sudden Paypal decided to convert it to USD and back. In the past for these payments it always was directly in euro so I don't understand what is going on. When I try to raise an issue with the payment - of course - all of the categories are irrelevant and there is no possibility to raise an issue about this unnecessary exchange. Today I bought something again and I paid special attention and again they wanted to do this exchange, I had to explicitly notice and change it. Anyone has similar experience? I don't remember this happening, at least not for a long time. Did something change? Any recommendation? p.s. it seems paypal also tries to prevent posting - i am filling captchas every single time i try to post (even if i just filled one earlier) and when i do i get some random error: first it was a mandatory label (i did not find relevant labels), then 'post flooding' (it is my first post ever here, i didn't post ever let alone past few minutes)...
