i had an issue trying to trnasfer funds to my visa card , so i sent a message through the message center one day later customer support agent contacted me through the message center then called me asking for my name & email which i was ok sharing then she asked for verification code sent through SMS to my mobile number once she asked for the verification code i hung up and then looked up the number with caller id and it turned out to be reported multiple times to be a scam. and here is a screenshot of the number and the reports from the people [removed] [removed] so is it really possible that customer support agents asks for a verification code ? im sure it is stated on paypal security center not to share any senstive information including verification codes . Even customer service rep shouldn't ask for them. so how come that an official customer support agent contacts through the message center and asks for the codes?
