I am now in the situation that was described in the title. The goods that I sold were digital, so there's no way of recovering those. Buyer called his bank and stated that the transaction was not authorized by the card holder. I find this very very hard to believe. He also made sure to 100% make it impossible for me to recover my goods about 1 hour before paypal refunded his money. Now I am being held accountable by paypal for this. The guy basically ran away with his money and the goods that I sold him and I now have to pay paypal. On top of that, "there are no paypal customer support agents available", so I cannot directly contact paypal to resolve/ask for advice this outside the "Provide Additional Info" button. Bit of a situation and it doesn't help that it is a whole 1.7k euros. Any advice on what I should do? (clearly, I cannot resolve anything with the buyer) In case paypal decides that the payment was indeed not authorized by the card holder, what will happen if I don't pay this "debt"?
