I believe it might be as you said, one is to friends and family and the other for goods and services.   However, I do not see a way to change this?   In paying the account where there are no fees, after I enter the amount and click continue, I actually see "paying for an item or service" which I can change. But the one where I can charge the fee, there is no option to change the purpose of the transaction.   How do i change it? Or are there different types of paypal account from the receipient side? ... Hi all,   I am sending funds via PayPal to the Philippines in AUD.   I understand there is a 4% conversion fee. But what I am asking now is the PayPal fees. I am sending the same amount of AUD to 2 different virtual assistants both in the Philippines and both in AUD to PHP. However, on one account there is a $0 additional PayPal fee while the other one has a 5% charged to me (not including the conversion fee).   Can I please ask why is there a difference? The only difference I can see is, that one has verified their PayPal account and the other hasn't. Would this be the cause? ... View more
