So I used to have a PayPal account when I lived in Canada, this account is linked to my gmail account and my Canadian bank account, as well as my old Canadian phone number (which I no longer have). I have not used it in many years. Someone seems to have hacked into the account and has used it to make a payment on Booking.com. I no longer have the password for the account and when I try to reset the password, the only options I have are to either SMS or call my old Canadian number. I cannot log in to my account to be able to start a chat with the US/Canadian support team. I am at a loss and not sure how to proceed. I tried to log in to my existing PayPal account but as it is in South Africa, the local support cannot access my Canadian account. I tried to call the support line but after almost an hour of going through various menu options, I was never able to get to speak to anyone, or find any solutions. Please help ...
