Since there's no explanation in the docs, I was wondering if it's possible to restore expired subscriptions. In detail, the problem is that for our finite subscription based products, we offer 2 ways of paying: pay per month or pay the entire subscription total upfront. For example, a 3 month subscription costing $30 will be able to be paid either by recurring payments $10 per month, or $30 once at the beginning of the subscription. All good so far, we handle this by creating 2 plans for each product. Now, the problem is that we want to offer ways to our customers to extend their subscriptions, but by the time they decide to do it, those subscriptions are already marked as EXPIRED, which prevents us from doing any changes to the billing cycles or the subscriptions themselves. Using the example above, especially for the upfront payments, the subscriptions are marked as EXPIRED as soon as the payment is completed, even if it's supposed to be ACTIVE for the entire period the subscription is for. For the recurring payment plan, the EXPIRED status comes in after the 2nd month of the subscription is completed (as soon as the last - 3rd payment is completed). Is creating a new subscription the only way to tackle this?
