I have a pending payment from a customer, on hold since March 9. I have called PayPal customer service dozens of times. Even the customer has called. Although he has no obligation as the payment was deducted from his credit card at the time he paid, he has been a good person about this and tried his best to help by contacting customer service as well. Here are things I have been told by customer service agents: It will be on hold 72 hours. It will be on hold 21 days. Sometimes the review takes longer. That's really weird. That's really bad. (In a third party phone conversation with myself, the customer and customer service: There's a button you (myself) need to push on the payment receipt to accept payment (There's no button saying this on my phone app or desktop and in 14 years I've never seen such a button-I've never had to do this). Your customer payed as a guest instead of through his account, which is why the limitations department placed limitations on payments To my customer via email after his call: Your account has been restored and there are no limitations To my customer: Your credit card had not been charged yet To my customer: Oh yes, your credit card has been charged There's no one you can talk to about this because it's all under review Let me get someone above me to talk to you about this Today: I'm sorry, this is under review. Sometimes it takes a long time. I feel like $450.00 has been stolen from me by Paypal and I will never see it. My customer paid and therefore he received his service (an ad on my website). If the amount had been larger, as it sometimes is, I don't know how I could stay in business. I suppose I have learned a lesson here I never ever thought I would have to deal with-I'm cheated here. Other than one email informing of the hold, I've done all the calling, messaging, and so much emotion. If by some chance this payment goes through-I'll be charged a fee. Isn't that special?
