The number on the app is a fake and they will either ask you to download a file transfer app or buy a Google Play card. PayPal has been notified. We found out yesterday. I couldn't get through to customer service (the real one on the site). The wait time was 2h 11m - 3h 14m. So I called the number on my card and closed my account and then made a new PayPal. They said others have reported it but I just didn't see it mentioned here. I discovered this on 3/13/21 the number was[Removed. Phone #s not permitted] Do not call this number
