Hi @Patriceok, these are great questions!! No worries at all, I'm happy to get you pointed in the right direction.    In regard to your example on what's reported and not reported, the full amount received - including the item cost and shipping cost you collect - would be reported as that is the gross amount you receive for the transaction.    While the 1099k is not made available until after Jan 31 of the following year, you can use the information in this article to Download your current activity or use the information in your Sales Insights page to get an accurate depiction of where you currently stand.   Also, here are some direct links to your Activity Download page and your Tax Document page if you need them.   I hope that all helps!    - Jon K ... How does PP calculate the total on the 1099 form and how do I see the transactions year to date that are included in the 1099 form?  I want to prepare if I am over the limit of $600.  I know I can download all my transaction monthly - but where is the YTD total?  How do I know which of the transactions are included?  Is it anything you created an invoice for and nothing else?  Is it just the $ amount of the goods sold?  Or do they include shipping totals?  I can’t find this basic information anywhere.  All I see is the verbiage that says they have to report anything over $600 - but what makes up what they report? ... How to get an activity report?

I read the help section and it says to go to activity, then select statement on the right side of the screen, then custom to select the date range.  Great except I don’t have a statement option on the right side of my screen!  Is this only available for a business account?  I am a hobbyist and mostly buy off EBay, but occasionally sell something to someone on eBay or Facebook and need to invoice for it.  Just looking for a simple report that says I received $xx dollars on invoices!   ... Why am I being asked to accept my money and valida...

I have been using PayPal for a few years.  I create a simple invoice and send.  The person pays the invoice. Today I got this message: “You must be a Verified member to accept this payment. To accept this payment, please verify your account now. PayPal requires that accounts receiving payments from our PayPal Website Payments and Instant Purchase for Auctions features be Verified.“   you can accept or decline.  If I select accept, it wants me to validate my account.  If I decline am I declining the money?  Because that is what it appears to be doing because it still asks me to validate.   imjave looked at my account and everything was ok except my time zone which I corrected.  Why is validating my account tied to me accepting this particular payment?  Why can’t I opt out?  ... Shipping claim

I shipped an item to a customer.  Used priority mail.  The invoice shows shipment is insured.  I am assuming this is automatic for priority mail.  Seems like up to $50 is included.  When I went to file a claim with USPS, it is asking me how much I paid for insurance!  How do I calculate that?  Is my package really insured?  Help!  Never had this before. ...
