At this point I am basically being harrassed by the buyer for a refund. I have explained that he would have gotten a refund but he filed a chargeback and he just gets more and more mad when I tell him that we now have to wait for the cc company to make a decision. He sent me like 10 emails in one hour.......kinda creeping me out. It doesn't matter what I tell this guy, he tells me I'm wrong, paypal is wrong, everybody is wrong and just give hime his money. Shouldn't have filed a chargeback (for unauthorized use) so quickly on the same day I agreed to a refund! I will keep updating and reveal the outcome of this nightmare!   ... View more

thanks and I will follow the advice. The buyer is asking everyday for a refund and has been explained that because of the chargeback that will not happen until a decision is made! I am very happy with paypal, they have been helpful over the phone and I have seen the seller protection work! My account is no longer in the negative, though this is still being reviewed and I know it might take a long time. Sold to a buyer who was difficult from the beginning. It was a high dollar amount ( over $4,000.00). They decide they want a refund. I agree to it as long as I recieve the items back first. I thought everything was ok......a day later a chargeback is filed by the buyer for unauthorized use. My account is frozen and the chargeback is open as of this moment. I got my items back and buyer wants the refund, which is fine, but the chargeback is not resolved and still open. I was advised by paypal not to refund until the cc company has made their decision to see the outcome, I am assuming it is to prevent the buyer from "double dipping", that's what I feel like they were trying to do when all this started. Is this the correct way to handle this, I am doing what was told by paypal to protect myself. Does the buyer have any control of closing the chargeback or is it out of their hands as well as paypal's? If I refund the money for the ebay transaction I don't want the chargeback to go through also, can it? Any advice would be helpful, thanks ... View more

Actually the buyer is wanting a reciept from when the item was purchased by me! Years ago.....don't have it. And I don't think they can request one even if it was still available, never was it stated in the auction I even had one to provide. It's been like 20 years ago, it's an antique. told the buyer it was purchased at a reputable auction house in NYC, and I provided the appraisal I have on the item. Don't understand how a buyer can scream fake when the appraisal done by the ASA and AAA is right in front of them! This is insane............ anyways the buyer said if I can't come up with a reciept then they want a refund. To me, it seems strange that they are willing to keep it if I can show them where or how much I purchased it for, but an appraisal is not acceptable? ... View more

So I sold two items to the same buyer. They were very expensive purchases. Now the buyer is asking for a reciept of purchase from me. The items are antiques, I do not have purchase reciepts, which I think are none of their business anyways.....BUT I did send an appraisal for both items which are appraised at double what they even paid for them. They are also claiming them to be fake, which they are not. They were appraised with all information about age, etc. I have noticed that most of the time the buyer is favored, Can this be even if I have appraisals(which by the way I didn't even have to provide to the buyer) which prove them to be authentic, or if they file it "not as described" do I even have a chance at winning this one? Thanks for any advice  ... LOST SALE AND CUSTOMER...BANK TRANSFER *BS*

I just don't understand why it takes any amount of time to transfer funds to my bank account but if I make a payment or paypal wants their fees the money is available that second. A customer paid me but I am transferring money to my bank account. They were asking me to ship item overnight after they paid but I can't until I have money in my hands.......my auction stated 5 days handling but if it weren't such an expensive item and shipping cost it would not be a problem. Where is the money at when it is no longer in my paypal account and not in my bank account either????????? To me this is a scam, there has to be something someone can do.....I am going to have to refund the money back because the customer has to have this overnighted and I can't come through...thanks paypal!!!!!! You cost me over $4,000.00 having to cancel this sale over something that doesn't make since.....  ...
