Hi, it's my first time on here and so please fogive me if I don't know any protocols. I've been on EBay for circa 10 years, bought around 600 items and sold a handful of items (say a dozen or so) from a Rolex watch to a camera lens, I have a 100% feedback rating, buyer and seller. I recently sold an old camera lens and headphone cable I had, for £120 and £90 respectively, the lens to a UK Buyer and the headphone cable to a Buyer from China(?). I packaged both up and went to use (for the first time) the EBay service whereby they print labels but discovered that the P&P insurance offered by this service wasn't the full value of the items and so decided to mail them at my own cost. The day I took these items to the Post Office the Buyer of the headphone cable asked (via EBay messages) for me to send the cable to a German address. I re-addressed the package and sent both packages by Royal Mail. I informed both buyers I had sent them and gave them the Royal Mail tracking details. The camera lens was received OK and the buyer was happy and left positive feedback. A few days later I checked on the Royal Mail tracking app and confirmed that the headphone cable had been delivered to the German address and so I contacted the Buyer and asked them to confirm receipt. The Buyer said the German address was no longer convenient and could I send it to a US address, I informed the Buyer that I couldn't since it had been sent and delivered. The Buyer then raised a case stated he hadn't received the headphone cable. All messages were passed via EBay messages, I'd sent a picture of the Royal Mail receipt and the item is still on their tracking system, and so EBay had all the evidence and, since I'd obviously been open, proactive and helpful, and there was proof the item had been delivered then i wasn't worried that the case would be resolved in my favour. Anyway, Ebay has said that "...proof of delivery details could not be verified." and so has refunded the Buyer and are asking £90 from me. So, my question, does anyone know what "proof of delivery details" is required? Also, I can't see any way that I can ask this question about my case formally it appears as though there is no means of asking for a second look within the EBay/Paypal system, is this correct or am i missing something.
