Re superfluousdude's responses: @5thElement wrote: To surplusdealdude, Re your comment to Beaglebabe48: "You mean the Geert Wilder that likens the Koran to Mein Kamf - is that the lunatic you're trying to defend?" FYI, it was Walid Shoebat [ex-PLO] who first compared 'jihad' [struggle] with 'Mein Kampf' [my struggle]. @surplusdealdude wrote: I don't care who said it first - she repeated it. #1, Who is "she"? And "repeating" a self evident truth (originally pointed out by an Arabic speaking, former Jordanian Muslim – i.e. expert) cannot change or minimize its truth, on the contrary. ____________________________________________________________________ @5thElement wrote: To surplusdealdude, Interesting that the Dutch people have voted Wilders' Freedom Party (from only 9 seats previously) into 3rd position in the parliament winning 24 of the 150 seats. http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/netherlands/100 610/dutch-election-mark-rutte-geert-wilders @surplusdealdude wrote: And they've also put him on trial for hate speech. BTW, 24 out of 150 isn't 'respectable' - it's just the upper fringe of the lunatic fringe. _________________________________________________ Re the despicable and political "hate speech" show trial, Pat Condell says it best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96ZUZ9CPZII Also Mark Steyn in the National Review As for the Dutch election results, it is not only a "respectable" win but obviously very significant in full context, since neither of the other two leading parties gained a clear majority (i.e. 30 & 31 seats) Wilder's Freedom Party could be the 'King maker' in forming a necessary coalition to govern. The Dutch people having experienced the true face of Islam voted accordingly. Finally, please try to remember that, argumentum ad populum, argumentum ad misericordiam, and argumentum ad baculum are all logical fallacies. (One should not need to mention that resorting to argumentum ad hominem is simply the refuge of those devoid of legitimate arguments) Also, consider applying Occam's Razor before indulging in further non sequiters or argumentum ad ignorantiam.
