@AC0171 If you were making a withdrawal to your bank account, make sure you used the account number for the bank account, not the account number of the bank debit card. I notice users from the Philippines make this error often than most. If you received a payment but expecting the payment to go directly to your bank account, it does not. You must make a withdrawal to your linked bank account once a payment is received into your PayPal balance.

@jimiuna You can’t cancel a completed payment (even though on hold) but a refund can be issued. The PayPal fees paid will not be refunded so the difference in fees will come out of your pocket because using PayPal’s selling tools (Invoicing, or sending money as goods and services) is not free. It’s quite possible that the refund will come from your available PayPal balance or your bank account instead of the money that is on hold when you issue refund while money is on hold because that money is temporarily not available for use. If the job does not require physical shipping, you can update the order status to get the money released sooner: How can I release my payment(s) on hold? After that, you may ask sender to confirm receipt to release money if that option is available to them 48 hrs from date of payment and you order status.

@kellyj67 When PayPal decides to permanently limit an account, their procedure is to hold the money for 180 days, in case someone disputes a payment to you. After 180 days, PayPal will email about withdrawing with directions. A heads up that if PayPal determines that you had violated Acceptable Use Policies and subject your account to liquidated damages, you may not receive the funds in your PayPal balance back.

@Danna_Yamilette Your best bet is to ask a tax advisor: Have a Tax Question? Ask a Tax Expert - JustAnswer If employer pays you with the goods and services option, PayPal is required to report those payments though to the IRS via the Form 1099-K: Payment Card and Third Party Network Transactions.
