I'm sorry to hear about the trouble removing your payment methods. If you have any pending payments, even ones that are using your new bank account to pay, they could be locked in as backup payment methods for your purchases. If you wait for all your transactions to fully process and complete, you should be able to remove the old accounts afterwards.
