none of those articles said how to start a cash account, just what to do with it once there was cash in the account. A simple answer, which I did this morning, is to have someone send you a dollar, and then open the account. But there is nowhere to open a cash account without first having that cash pending.

I hate it. paypal keeps changing things. I have been using paypal since about 2003. I use it for my online business. Tonight I went to summary and it looked different. It said I had money and to claim it. I thought it meant that someone had paid and it was pending. I tried to put it in my paypal account. That wasn't an option, unless I had a "cash account" whatever that is. is this something new? So instead I transferred to my checking what I thought was a transaction payment which turned out to be my complete account amount...NOOOOOO! now I can't find anywhere how to transfer the money back. there are no buttons, nothing. there used to be a screen to do this. there used to be a screen on summary that showed how much money I had in my account. where has all this gone? How do I transfer money from my checking account to my paypal account? Is a cash account different than a regular paypal account that I have been using all these years? Please help! I'm kind of in a panic because I will need this money for shipping.

How do I find out what type of paypal account I have? It's been so many years since I signed up that I have no idea whether it's a personal account or a business account.

do not have a business account nor a card reader. I have been able to accept CCs for years with a personal account. In doing some research today, I found this on paypal website: "Customers enter their name and shipping address. They’re prompted for their credit card, email address, and phone number. (Optional) After reviewing their information, they may choose to save their information by creating a PayPal account to make future transactions faster." So it looks like you have to set up an account but it's optional. So her problem may be that she didn't pursue it far enough. she got stopped at the set up an account page. It would be nice if this were clearer. This customer wants to buy over $300 worth of equipment but will NOT buy if this won't work. And my whole business is centered around people being able to buy either through paypal account or credit card as guest.

I have a customer who wants to pay with her credit card but does not want to set up a PayPal account. She can't pay. there is no option for her to pay without setting up an account. So I did a test. I sent my wife a $1 invoice to see what would happen. There is a "pay as guest" button, but when you click on it, the payment page flashes for about 1/2 second and then you are taken to "make a PayPal account" page. In the past, I have had many customers who do not want a PayPal account pay with their credit card. I have even told them it was possible. Now I hit this snag. Is this something new? why is there a "pay as guest" button and then not be able to pay as guest? I'm really concerned as this will really be a problem with sales of my products.

I saw another person had this problem last year in December (with no solution) but it started happening to me about the end of this Feb. I send an invoice to the customer. I get a notice from PayPal they have paid. I also get an email from them that they have paid and that they have verified their shipping address as correct. So I know the address is there. I go to PayPal shipping to ship and there is no address. I have it happen about 1 out of 3 transactions. I have to go to PayPal labels and manually enter the info. This is really frustrating. Anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix for this problem?

I have had this happen several times: I get an email notice someone has paid a paypal invoice I have sent them. I click at the bottom of the email that says "Get the details". this takes me to the info page. There is usually a link that says "see details on classic site". And from there I can print a label. But in this case, there is no address on this info page and no link to classic site to print a label. Is it possible for someone to pay a paypal invoice and not give an address for shipping? I have to go to the generic paypal shipping window to fill in the address the buyer gives me in emails during the selling process. these are not invoices generated by ebay but sales from my website that I send my self.

I have had this problem the last 3 Priority mail international shipments I have tried to make from the paypal shipping software. On the customs details page, I type it all in, hit next and it gives me the same page back with an error message that I need to check that I read the shipping restrictions before I can continue There is NOWHERE on that page or any previous page to click that I read these restrictions. I tried 2 different browsers and got the same pages. Yes, I know I can go the USPS to do this but then I don't the the streamlined service of automatically entered addresses, etc. Does someone know a trick to get past the input page? frustrating...
