Well the bank have told me I would need to return the item or at least sent it off and if it's refused use that as evidenceď. However I will not be sending anything anywhere as it seems completely futile and costly so I have given up going down the bank route 🤷‍♀️. I am still waiting on a response from PayPal to my latest messsge but I'm not holding my breath, it seems like they are stalling as my claim 'expires' tomorrow so then I imagine they will say I took too long to respond and then close my claim in favour of the seller/scammer. ... Yes I have come to the conclusion that I may as well just cut my losses now rather than possibly rack them higher by paying to return the piece of crap they sent me,  I am very angry about it and really didn't want to give in and let them win but sometimes when you're between a rock and a hard place there's nowhere left to go, so I'm done, thanks for nothing PAYPAL!  ... I'm surprised you even got a response from the actual seller/scammer, well done and that address has got a bit more detail than the one PayPal gave me although 'Building A, Building 6' is a bit strange and what about a postcode? ... View more

Totally, and yes PayPal definitely should go after them but they haven't so far have they. I'm so sick of it all now which is obviously their plan, the seller and PayPal I think, maybe I will stick to Am***n in future, at least then when something goes wrong they usually sort it pretty quickly, in my experience anyway. ... Totally agree, I will never again trust a seller based on the fact they accept PayPal, as they can no longer be trusted to actually protect us the buyers. It makes me so damn angry that they are basically complicit in these scams. It's not even about the money, although I really want it back if only to take it away from the scammer and PayPal. ...
