@terrynshed yes I have been told they are investigating them now but I wonder how many other people have been told the same thing, I mean it really shouldn't take long to investigate them seeing as they have been told about this scammer many times already so should of been flagged long before now to stop anyone else being duped. I think it was one of their victims that said in checking they discovered that this person only registered in December last year so that alone should of made PayPal wary of them surely. ... @terrynshed, it is totally out of order and they know it as in September they are changing some wording of their terms, but it's just crazy as they know there will be lots more people falling foul of this scammer so I just don't see why they don't do it straight away. Also I have asked them over and over why some people (in exactly the same situation as others with the same scammer etc) get refunds but others don't but they never answer the damn question. It must be just plain luck as to which agent is dealing with your case as some are obviously more empathetic than the majority. ... View more

@molly_chick I hear ya and totally agree, I really don't want to give in either but the date for returning their crap to them passed so they found in favour of the SCAMMER/FRAUDSTER and they say they 'take claims of fraud very seriously and  they are investigating the seller now on my behalf', yeah right! But they still won't change their decision and it's like banging your head against a brick wall.  However after September 14th hopefully no-one else will be in the same boat when PayPal have 'changed their wording'.  Too little too late for me and many others but hopefully PayPal will step up and do things properly then. ... I have repeatedly asked PayPal why some people have been refunded and others haven't even though it's exactly the same issue with the same seller, but all I get in response is nonsense without actually answering this or other questions I ask, sick of it now and sick of PayPal,  they seem to be as much use as a chocolate teapot so no longer see the point of them, but good luck to anyone else fighting them. ... I have just seen this change due to come in on 14/09/20, no help to us but at least others in future should get their refund without being told to return the 'switched' tat they received.        Making A Payment – Buyer Protection In this section, we have re-introduced the PayPal Buyer Protection Policy into the user agreement and reworded its terms for global alignment.   Receiving Payments – Impact of PayPal Buyer Protection on Sellers We have amended the wording in the "Impact of PayPal Buyer Protection on Sellers" sub-section: If you are a seller and lose a claim under PayPal Buyer Protection and the buyer’s claim was that the item received was Significantly Not as Described, you may not receive the item back, or you may be required to accept the item back and pay for the return shipping costs.     ...
