what's the difference between US and Canadian paypal?

Like what the topic says..since I'm from Canada..is it possible to make a US account paypal and if so can I use canadian base credit cards and or debit cards?

You can create a US based account if you maintain a residence in the US.  However, we only recommend adding cards that are issued in the same country in which the account is based.  Most Canadian debit cards run on the INTERAC system, which isn't compatible with PayPal, but if it's a branded debit card (Visa/MasterCard), it could be added to a Canadian account.
