hold on MONEY and TECHNICAL SUPPORT FROM INDIA or BFE????

OH k,

Let me start by saying I have been using PAYPAL FOREVER!!!  I mean 5+ years really since it opened up.  I shipped an item last friday.  I didn't put in the tracking number on ebay until today.  My money is put on hold for some reason?  The tracking indicates the package was received on the 18th.  The buyer hasn't responded so my money is still being held.  I HAVE 100% feedback and am a premier member and have spent lots of money over the years through this service.  I want my money NOW!

Additionally, I HATE THESE call centers located in other countries like India.  There is a cultural difference and langauge barrier that a 10 hour call center training camp can not fix.  Not only that, but Americans need jobs.  I would gladly pay 1$ extra per transaction to speak to someone who understands where I am coming from.  It is no fun having someone from another country try to read you a policy in broken english while you are trying to explain to them your problem.  Thats not what I want when I wait on hold for 30 minutes.

I am for free-trade and capitalism.  I do believe americans wouldn't mind paying a little more to have the ability to speak to an american.

Is there a way to expedite the release of my funds because this is not going to work.  I would rather use ebay/paypal over craigslist but this may change.

PayPal will release the hold after 21 days, or... soon after the buyer leaves positive feedback or 3 days after PayPal can confirm delivery of the item.

The policy is called the eBay Item Hold policy... it was announced in January, 2008 and implemented in April, 2008. Go here...

and here...

to read more about the policy.
