Sent to wrong e mail no account.

Someone bought my buy it now item and when they paid it was sent to paypal with an 6 year old email I do not have an account with that old email. I then sent a request for the buyer to send  $$ to the correct account. Was that good? Where did the old email come from? Is this fraud?

No, it's not fraud.

You have to change your email in several places .

Go to the Site Map, the link for which is at the bottom of your Myebay page, and click on it.

Middle column approx half-ay down, you'll find a link, "Change your email address".

You'll have to sign in again, but you can change it there.

Did you also change the paypal address when you made the actual listing?  There's a box in each listing form where you have to put the address.

And, by the way, just because you cancelled the email account doesn't mean that the paypal account is also closed - have you tried typing the old email address and password into paypal?

This just happened to me too! I sold an item on ebay and the buyer sent the payment to my old PayPal account which I closed a year ago. When I sent up my new account a year ago I was sure I deleted all previous information on ebay. I just checked the my ebay account settings and everything has my current information. I've asked the buyer to cancel the payment to my old account and resend payment to my current account. This is very disheartning, the buyer thinks I'm a fraud...Thanks PayPal/Ebay.

this just happened to me to.  also PayPal Shipping is not available. We apologize for the inconvenience. my accounts are linked and i have been getting all my payments except this one.

Me too, sold Items yesterday, realized that the payments were going to a email that doesn't exist. I changed my e mail address before I listed the items but there was a burp in the system and reverted half back to the old and half the new very strange..Called ebay told me to email sellers  sellers want me to fix it..No way to contact customer service except by email. from all the info I can find  The buyers have to send it to the right email the sellers are dead in the water..Right??

The exact same thing is happening to me.  The morons in Bombay got the first paymenttransferred to my real account (the old one has been dead for years, and I don't even know what the old password was), and they said the problem was fixed.  But it keeps happening.  Is there any way to REALLY get this fixed?  Or is there a realistic alternative to using Paypal with their exorbitant fees?  I'm a really angry seller (and Bombay is closed for the day).
