I want to perform payment on eBay, but PayPal says "To pay for this purchase right now, link a debit or credit card to your PayPal account." But I already have a card registered on PayPal and it works fine. Why another card is required by PayPal, or may be this is result of eBay<->Paypal communication?

I have the same problem. After logging in to paypal from ebay, a message appears saying "Add a new debit or credit card". I notice there are only three credit card options shown as payment types; VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS, and DISCOVER. Does paypal not accept MASTERCARD anymore?

Seems like someone from PayPal would have already solved this problem because I am having the same issue. I did the automatic Chat and this is what came up:
1. Log in to your PayPal account, using this link - event:href#@#using this link#@#https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_auction-login-add#@#
2. Enter your eBay User ID and password.
3. Click Add.
After I did this I am still having the same issue. What is going on? Is there not anyone out there that cares enough to help? PayPal not helping certain people makes me not want to use PayPal anymore.

Sorry for the delay in responding everyone. It's gonna be hard to pin down here on the forums exactly what the problem is as we cannot assist with account specific problems. That being said, the two most common issues I can think of is our security model is blocking that particular card or, in the case of voss, it seems like the merchant doesn't accept Mastercard which is entirely their choice. Really your best option would be to either add another funding source or give our customer service a call so they can review what's happening and hopefully give you a more specific solution.
