Can anyone please give me some advice here, i am a total loss.

I purchased an ipad2 from a from daughters Ebay account and paid with a paypal account she set up for me with my credit card.

The seller sent us an empty box

The seller sent the empty ipad2 box with tracking ref

the postage paid would have been insufficient to cover the cost of this packaging if it had an ipad2 in

The seller had purchased empty ipad2 boxes (feedback only left after i had purchased ipad2)

The ipad2 has a serial number on which was registred prior to me receicving this supposodly brand new unopned

 ipad2

The seller also had received bad feedback for another ipad2 that is not received

paypal keep sending me emails informing me that they require more information for this claim.

They requested i report this to the police. Which i have done. The police state they give you a CRN number. i have emailed  this to paypal.

Paypal have sent me another email saying they have not received this, even though i have uploaded this on to paypal dispute files so i sent it again.

Thsi time they have requested i send them a letter from the police on headed paper with the above details of case . the police do not do this, they can not give me a statement on headed paper to send to paypal. Why are they asking me for information i can not give them.

In the meantime seller ignores all emails from paypal and has not even entered a comment regarding this matter. How can paypal keep sending me emails stating that i have insufficient evidence. i have done everything i can do help whilst seller just sits back laughing at me.

Paypal this is so unacceptable and unjust. can anyone give me some advice as i am nearly £500 out of pocket here and paypal seemt to be making this very difficult for me

any advice would be very much appreciated here , thank you in advance x
