HORRIBLE IDEA TO HOLD FUNDS FOR 21 DAYS!!!

  Holding funds from sellers until the buyer leaves feedback is the worst idea EVER! Since when does Paypal become an authority on buyer satisfaction?? A smooth transaction is all that I wanted from Paypal. If they are going to hold funds, then they should make it very clear BEFORE you use them!  Keeping my money in their account for 21 days is a HUGE disadvantage of using Paypal. Stick to transferring funds,not trying to be a satisfaction authority!

paypal people need to read the forums because we aren't' happy about you holding our money!!! we are the one using the paypal website and promoting it! the least they can do is gives us our money when we sell our own items!

Mary3310:::: It appear's that PayPal Adrian read your post and moderated it.  They do read the forums, they just don't care.  They want you too feel like you have a voice and a way to express yourself, but really you don't.  The only protection there is chargeback for buyer's.  If enough buyer's chargeback Paypal, then perhap's it will provide a negative impact to their reputation.

Imagine all these Seller's money and all the interest Paypal makes by holding it 21-30+ day's. 

The only thing people can do is boycott selling and buying on Ebay and refuse to use site's that require Paypal and eventually they will be brought down.  I shop at Amazon and never have any problems.

I am also having to wait! THIS **bleep**!!! IT'S MY MONEY AND THE BUYER ALREADY HAS THE ITEM!!!! I also had feedback left and my money STILL IS ON HOLD! THIS IS RIDICILIOUS- WE ARE ALL ADULTS AND WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WAIT TO GET MONEY JUST BECAUSE WE ARE NEW TO PAYPAL. SO WHAT IF WE ARE NEW???!!! One lost package !!!  Thay said this whould not affect me.   I have all good rateings  no problems for a year. Now paypal is playing GOD with my money  i am digging money out of my own pocket because i do not have a printer to use ebays shipping lables. I sent ten package out than i had to grovel to my custemers for feedback only gettinga half a hand full back. Haveing a  99% on description  The women that said she did not get my package put a clam on me only 8 days after i sent package she said i dont think she sent me the package, " because she was mad at me for not paying her in time" she took 11 days to pay with NO contact to me  i offered extra time to pay NO contact. Buy that time my last letter to her was  Thanks alot  DeadBeat. I put a clam out she paid i was happy sent package eight days latter start her clam i wantet a fax no so i could show her the postal receipt with city and state she would not reply She wone the case on  FELLING  Than paypal pulled this on me this was an ebay case NOT paypal     IT IS NOT RIGHT FOR PAYPAL TO HOLD MY MONEY ON ONE WOMENS FELLINGS        TomTomClub

This is such a croc had I known about this 21 day hold crap I would have never put my items on ebay. Looks like its craigslist for me from now on thanks ebay and paypal for bending people over a barrel oh but help yourself to your fee fom my money that I cant have yet.

I sold an item on 5-29 and payment was sent to pay pal. I shipped on 6-4 and sent tracking number and an email to the buyer. No response from buyer and funds are still pending. It has been 10 days and still funds are pending

PayPal will often release the payment 3 days after PayPal can confirm delivery of the item. If the shipping company's website shows the item as delivered and if PayPal has the tracking number and if it's been more than 3 days since the item was delivered, call PayPal to ask if it's sufficient to release the hold.

If you used PayPal or eBay shipping labels, PayPal already has the tracking number. Otherwise, you can upload tracking information from the PayPal Transaction Details page.

To call PayPal, login to your PayPal account and click on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page... there you will find contact instructions and the PayPal phone number for your account.

Sandy, the way I see it is that people shouldn't "have" to call in to get there funds release. You all are pose to be a money transfer place, safe and easy way and fastest way to send money instently online for things (It's even on your guys main web site of paypal page also). The stuff isn't easy, it's not the fastest either and it's not instant almost (ebay items)  like you all say it to be for. Maybe you should update your main page. LOL

Also maybe you can asnwer this question. Why is it when someone sends payment for a eBay item, you guys "hold" the funds from the seller BUT yet take your cut right off the top? Shouldn't the whole payment be place on "hold" until the package has been confirm delivered? that is one of your rules right about the whole "Hold" policy ?
