HORRIBLE IDEA TO HOLD FUNDS FOR 21 DAYS!!!

Holding funds from sellers until the buyer leaves feedback is the worst idea EVER! Since when does Paypal become an authority on buyer satisfaction?? A smooth transaction is all that I wanted from Paypal. If they are going to hold funds, then they should make it very clear BEFORE you use them! Keeping my money in their account for 21 days is a HUGE disadvantage of using Paypal. Stick to transferring funds, not trying to be a satisfaction authority!

I'll try not to be such an alarmist but...there are a lot of people here with perfect transactions who have not had their money released to them for more than 21 days. Something's up. Don't sell anymore, or do it this way....put the items up so high and with a best offer option, when a buyer makes an offer, ask them if you can just invoice them through PayPal. Yes...take eBay out of the equation and PayPal cannot hold your money. Insofar as what you have sold and what they hold...it's anyone's guess as to when you will actually receive the money, if you receive it at all. PayPal is flexing it's muscles. It's proving to everyone it can do anything to anyone without repercussions. It's important that everyone quit PayPal once able to. If we cannot do away with both eBay and PayPal by not using them...we're nothing but a bunch of disorganized sheep, to them, to do with as they please. **bleep** them!

you have to wait for 21 days after every payment and you have to put confirmation on them so that you know they were received and then the buyer has to leave feedback. Its such a crok. class action suit is filed www.letssuepaypal.com

It seems to me, having browsed many messages here, that the problem is not really with
paypal, but with the ebay association. I am coming on board the boycott thing, but only in
terms of discontinuing ebay sell ads to see if some smoke clears. Something is very wrong
here, I think it may be anti trust or interstate commerce regulations being violated. I am no
attorney buy the sad part is that even our supreme court, I think it likely they would find
in favor of the big guys. I wonder how proud those involved are in contributing to the ruination
of our country? I am onboard as far as ebay goes, until some smoke clears, anyway.

Heard a rumor. Heard eBay/PayPal might be going bankrupt. All sellers beware. It might be true. Pass it along.

I completely agree. I've been with Ebay since very early on and have seen them go downhill over the years. I was also one who got **bleep**ed by a buyer who said the item wasn't as described. Several emails and even calls to Ebay where the representatives laughed at the buyers claims got me nowhere as the case was still resolved in their favor. Now this hold crap is just icing. I need the money I get from sales and depend on it being available immediately, it's been MORE than 21 days in hold.

I had 1700 transactions, 100 percent, a buyer looked at ad I put up concerning an item he returned, which I promptly refunded, based his feedback (even verified it in his feedback) on my new ad for the item he returned, my record went to 98.9 and it ruined me. My appeals meant nothing to eBay.
I heard a rumor. eBay and PayPal might be on the verge of bankruptcy.

ITS on its way I was emailed and asked to first remove bank and crediy from paypal! and when we all do this it will limit nour spending and lower sales for all including EGOD We as honest people deserve better and those who misuse should be punished .But the majority are honest and EPAL should have some non employed people to input and decide the difference in right or wrong! Those deciding now have the pressure of what earns the most profit to sway thier decission!! I speak with intent to help not hurt any one person .With the thaught of and struggle with cancer each day of my life I write this with sadness that such a wonderful thing as EBAY is slowly losing sight of its intent to bring buyer and seller together! Please all work to improve/fix this!!!

I just sent HOward Clark from CNN an email about this horrendous practice of ebay and paypal. If anyone else would like to do the same the website is below and just go to the bottom of the page and find contact us. If anyone can do something about this he can. I will keep you all posted on if I get a response. I finally got my money released so as soon as everything clears I will be shutting both my accounts down and never dealing with them again.,
