Ebay Item Sold...where's the payment?

Nu-bee here.   How will I know when a payment for an item sold on Ebay is received?

It's been days since it sold and I don't want to start off with a bad rating by not sending the item, but I dont see a change in my PayPal account balance. I assume the payment hasn't been made yet? (duh)

Congratulations on your sale! 

If you can login to your eBay account, and go to the "My eBay" section.  Next, on the left hand side under "Sell" click on "Sold".  This will pull up the item you sold. 

Now check to see if it shows that the payment has been sent, a dollar sign should appear darkened next to the auction description if a payment was sent. 

If you don't show that they sent the payment, I would recommend sending the customer an invoice for the payment. 

To do this, click on the more actions drop-down (it's right next to the auction information).  Next, select send invoice.
