Dealing with a buyer who won't pay

I got the returned item, and the buyer was suppose to pay the shipping cost, instead I got the item with a I owe postage $2.77. I have talked to paypal and they said before this happened that I was not to pay the postage, that she was to pay it. Plus she has a gouge in the box it was in. I took pictures of both parts of box to email it to you at your request....Lois

Did you open the package? Was the item in the same condition as what the buyer described when he received the item?
