I linked my credit card with my old Paypal account, but I closed the old account without deleting the card from the account.
Now I registered a new account, and I can't link this card with it. The app shows:
This card is linked to another PayPal account. Please remove the card from the other account or try a different payment method.
The old paypal account is deleted, I can no more login. How can I proceed to link my card with the new account?

I Unable to add card in my new account, when I try to add card show error "This card is linked to another PayPal account. Please remove the card from the other account or try a different payment method".
Even card already removed this card from another account two month ago, what should do.

See if customer services can link it for you?
Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.
1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.

Why can't you just remove it?
You are only allowed 2 paypal accounts if x1 is personal and the other x1 is a business account.
If you have 2 of the same type you risk them being limited so remove the card and close the extra account if its another of the same type?

Hello sir, I can not add my card to the account. It says that " "This card is linked to another PayPal account." Actually, I had an active PayPal account. But It does not go right through. So I deleted that account and reopened a new one with the same email and phone. Now I can not add that card... So I request you take the necessary action so that I can use my card in the new account.

If you didn't remove the card from the closed account before you closed it then you would need to contact customer services and see if they can remove it for you.

It sounds like you might be having difficulty adding a card to your PayPal account. Is that right? If so, I'm sorry to hear that. This Help Center article has some great troubleshooting steps for adding a card. If you're notified the card is linked to another account, you'll need to remove it from that account first. If you have, you might need to wait 48 hours before trying to add it to the new account. After that, if you still can't, please contact Customer Support by selecting 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal page.

I have the same problem. Is there any way to contact paypal help beside the live chat which is most of the time unavailable?
