I have a number of outstanding debts owed to PayPal and the website doesn't make it clear how I can get money from my bank account, which is linked to PayPal, into Paypal so that I can pay these debts. How am I supposed to pay them back?

When you click on transfer below your balance is there an 'add funds' option? If so then can you add the funds from your bank account? You may not be able to if it was the bank account that caused the failed negative paypal balance in the first instance. If that is the case paypal disable the bank option to force you to use the safer (for them) card option.

Here's your options if you can't use the bank account.

Ways to clear a negative balance.

1. Transfer funds from your bank account via the add funds function.

2. The quickest and easiest way is to get a mate or family member to send a payment via the friends / family option. As long as they don't fund it with a card it should be free.

3. Via a card over the phone with paypal.

4. Buy something and Paypal will normally add the debt to that payment during checkout when you authorise the purchase....check before you click to pay though that the debt has been added on to the purchase price.
