Can no longer add my bank account

As I was setting up my bank account, I received the deposits of less than $0.50 AUD and inserted the values to confirm it was my bank account, but they were incorrect, so I flipped the values around thinking they had to be in a certain order, and they were still incorrect, and my bank account was removed from my PayPal account after two tries. It is my understanding that I had three attempts. I am now no longer able to link that same bank account as the screen shows a message saying they are unable to process my account right now. Why is this happening? And how can I fix this?

If you input the incorrect code x 3 times you would no longer be able to confirm your card or bank account that way.
You would need to ask customer services to add it for you.
They would probably request that you upload a copy of your card or bank statement to prove ownership of the account as you couldn't complete the code method.
Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.
1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a private direct message via Social Media on Facebook, Twitter/X, or Instagram pages.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

So were you able to add and link your bank account?
Kind of funny. I did exactly the same thing you did in trying to enter the small deposits to authenticate the account. I got a failure so thought the order might be important and flipped the amounts around. That didn't work so flipped them again. Of course, I hit my three try limit and they locked me out.
I tried all kinds of other ways on their website to link my account and I guess it just made the problem worse. I must have looked like a hacker trying to launder some money using their systems. After walking away for a day and trying again, I think I may have grabbed the wrong deposit amounts. I have a new bank and was linking some other financial services to my new account. They use the small deposit method to authenticate too. I may have grabbed the amounts from one of those deposits and given them to Paypal causing the failure.
You may eventually have to call Paypal to get the problem resolved. I tried chat twice without success. They suggested calling on the phone and the call went well and the rep said he cleared all the blocks. But I tried linking a few days later and it still didn't work. So I called back again and this time got a rep who did all the linking for me! She waited as I attempted to transfer my money out of Paypal and into my bank account. And it worked! Done.
All this to get a rebate on a pack of beer. Sheesh.
