No debit card option in 'add card'

Hello, I'm having challenges adding debit card to my account. Once I get to wallet, there is no option to choose debit or credit card type, it automatically chooses credit card itself. Please what am I doing wrongly and what's the solution?. Thanks.

I'm having the same problem. My country is Sri Lanka .why I couldn't add my debit card ? Solve this problem. My friends in Sri Lanka can link a debit card .why I can't?

No you can't add a debit card in your country only a credit card.

If your friends have linked one then it may be the card 'type' is recognised as a credit card even if debit as that is how paypal sees some cards.

But most debit cards can't be linked in Sri Lanka.

I asked same question in message centre they said if I add debit card number in the credit card field paypal will automatically detect it .so is it possible ? Can I link my debit card like this?

If I link my credit card I have to pay interest? Can I transfer that credit card money to bank account or debit card without any fee?
