Can't activate paypal account due to linked bank account step persisting despite completing it

Hi community, I've set up a new account for my business, verified my identity, and completed all the steps including linking a bank account. However on the Home screen I still get a section saying "Activate your account to use PayPal 2/3 completed" and the bottom option "Link a bank or card" not having a green tick. I can add my bank account, and it shows up under "Pay & Get Paid.> Banks & Cards". I do note however that I have not been prompted to check for any verification transactions so I wonder if that missing step is causing me to be stuck in this state?

You may have to wait a few days for the deposits to show up in your bank account for you to confirm the bank account.

However if you only have a bank account linked all payments will go as echeques and you may have to wait 5-7 days for them to clear.
If you add and confirm a 'back up debit or credit card' then paypal will credit the payments from your bank account instantly and they will wait for the processing echeque.
Failing that you can fund your payments via a card instead?
If you have the option to select a funding source then you can do so here...
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > second down click on update next to your preferred way to pay and put a dot in one of the options listed.

Thanks @kernowlass - I can certainly check if any verification transactions show up - but the issue is that I have had to assume this will happen. There is no page or email that informed me of such. I just keep getting asked to link a bank account or card, and being showed a 'success' screen upon adding - which I can dismiss, and then I get sent back to the home screen to ask me the same thing again!
