How to locate balance on my PayPal account

How do I locate the balance on my PayPal account?  I want to transfer money to my linked checking account.  This was very easy until the PayPal website was totally rebuilt without an easy link to transfer funds to and from my checking account.

You don't have a balance unless you set up a balance account in your country.

Normally to do that you wait for the first buyers payment to be sent and paypal offers you 2 options when you claim it.

The first is to set up a balance account and the second to have funds auto transferred to your bank account.

If you select the former then you will have a balance account and can add funds as per link.

1. Find the PayPal app on your Android device.
2. Tap the PayPal app icon.
3. Enter your email address and password.
4. Press the 'Login' button.
5. Your account balance will now be shown on the screen under “PayPal Balance”.

Not in every country and not in the U.S unless they have set up a balance account.
