Can 1 credit card be linked to TWO different Paypal accounts.

My wife and I each have our own Paypal accounts, but we have ONE US credit card number, two cards, one with her name and second with mine, but one credit card number.

We would like that card linked to HER Paypal account and to mine. But wife says when she tries to do that Paypal says card is already linked to another account.

Is there a solution to this?
