Bank account removed from Paypal account without notice

Dear community,

I'm using Paypal for more than 10 years with the same exact configuration: My bank account is configured as payment source in the Paypal account configuration. Suddenly a few day ago I got 2 recurrent payment not honored by Paypal... I decided to dig in and the cause of the problem was very simple, the bank account that I use since more than 10 years is no more configured as payment source... The last honored payment is from the 24th of October and the first that failed date from the 28th of October. I've received no notification from Paypal for the bank account removal and same from my bank, not a single notification informing my about something going on.

As advised by Paypal I tried to add my Bank Account back in the payment source, but then I receive a vague message telling me that the action cannot be performed and that I should try later...

Any idea about my problem ? Are there any known issue with Paypal?

Thanks for you answer

Hi @suntsu,

Welcome to the PayPal Community and thank you for your post!

I am sorry to hear your bank has been removed from your PayPal account. I know this must be frustarting. If your bank account was removed by PayPal, this would mean your bank let us know there was an issue with your account.

When we get a notification that there is an issue with a bank account or card, it would removed from our system. You should have received an email from PayPal regarding this. If it was due to a rejected payment, an email would have been sent explaining this.

When a bank is removed, it cannot be re-added until any issues are resolved. I would suggest you contact your bank to work out any issues with them directly.

Once you have done this, please contact our Customer Support to have your bank account re-enabled. To contact us, simply click here. Alternatively, you can contact us via Facebook https://www.facebook.com/PayPal or Twitter @AskPayPal.

I hope this helps!
