A Negative account balance

When I logged in tonight my account was in the negative. It says due to a recent transaction I needed to pay the balance, but I cannot see what the transaction was to make it go in to the negative. I have paid it now, but not sure why it was in the minus in the first place and I am worried I paid money and I shouldnt have.

I am sorry to hear you have had an issue with a negative PayPal balance. 

 

There are a few different reasons why you can experience a negative balance: 

  • If you had a case/chargeback opened against a recent sale. 
  • If you have experienced a failed instant transfer or direct debit. 

You should have the option to view this in the Activity section of your PayPal account. Keep a lookout for any failed transfers or transactions. Any cases will be visible on your PayPal Resolution Center.
