Can a business send a second charge through to PayPal for more than initially agreed upon without my authorization?

Hello @Susan452,
Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum! This is a great question. Sometimes, yes, it is possible to be charged more than authorized because a merchant may include other costs such as taxes and shipping. Depending on your credit card company a merchant can reauthorize to an amount that is 115% of the amount originally authorized. However the maximum dollar amount a merchant can reauthorize cannot exceed $75 USD.
I hope that helps!
