What could be holding my payment

I have done work for a client and they sent me my payment it's the first time I'm using PayPal, what could be the reason that the money hasnt nor reflected in my account because he has sent me proof that he has paid and I didn't even get a confirmation email

Check the link above on how to receive funds.

Then check you have confirmed your email address.

Check the email address that the sender used and make sure it was correct without any spelling errors.

Check the currency that they sent and make sure that they sent in a currency that you have added as a receiving currency to your S.A paypal account. Remember Paypal does not support the ZAR. Have you had a message to accept the funds?
